Minigrow One in 2025

Since 2019, Minigrow One has been the favorite mini grow box for many enthusiastic home growers across Europe.

Over time, we’ve made several functional improvements and always kept up with the latest versions of the leds and other components. Minigrow One is always based on most recent technology.

Most of these updates have not been formally announced and are rather ‘invisible’. To name a few:

Control unit

In autumn 2024, a new microprocessor control board has been introduced. Although it is running the same functionality as before, it is better prepared for future connectivity of external devices, it is easier to upgrade software and it will enable remote access.

Although previous models already supporting external devices, this new version expands these capabilities. With this upgrade, Minigrow One is better prepared for the IoT era. Also, some new functionalities that improve internal climate, like active led dimming, were introduced also in this update..

LED grow system

The Minigrow Led system was already the best in class grow light with outstanding performance and consistent yields between 60-85+ grams. The Oslon Square LED’s are still the most efficient horticultural leds available today.

Recently, the latest LED version were implemented. This has resulted in another performance improvement, while reducing power consumption and heat generation. That enabled us to decrease heatsink mass which helps reducing humidity peak at night start.

Lock

One of the more visible updates, added in response to frequent requests, is the addition of a lock.

The Minigrow One now features a simple, lightweight lock that is easy to use and seamlessly integrated into the Minigrow design. While it’s not intended as a high-security feature, it does meet the legal requirements for indoor grow boxes in certain countries.

Currently, the lock is optional and may not be available for all door types. If you’d like a lock with your order, please email us—we’ll be happy to let you know which door options are currently available with a lock.

Minigrow One, the ultimate future-proof grow box!

With these updates, Minigrow One is ready to deliver much more years of growing pleasure.

All Minigrow grow boxes are built with a modular design. Units produced since 2018 can be upgraded with the latest features—some more seamlessly than others.

However, upgrades are completely optional. If you don’t need the new functionalities, there’s no need to upgrade now or in the future.
